GTA 5's story ties together three lives: Michael, a retired robber living on a government deal; Franklin, a young hustler who wants out of the street; and Trevor, Michael's former partner. A debt, a pair of crooked FIB agents and a billionaire with his own plans keep pushing the three into bigger and riskier jobs.
The heists
The story is built around these jobs. Most let you pick an approach and a crew, which changes how the job plays and how much you take home.
Heist 1
The Jewel Store Job
Michael's comeback: a raid on a high-end Rockford Hills jeweller to pay off a debt.
Approaches: Loud (go in armed) or Smart (knock-out gas)
Heist 2
The Merryweather Heist
A job for the FIB: steal a device from the private military contractor Merryweather.
Approaches: Offshore (hit the cargo at sea) or Freighter (hit the ship in port)
Heist 3
Blitz Play
FIB agent Steve Haines has the crew hit an armoured truck carrying bonds: a garbage truck boxes it in, a tow truck rams it, and Trevor covers from above. There is one fixed plan, with no choice of approach.
Heist 4
The Paleto Score
A heavily armed bank robbery in the small northern town of Paleto Bay.
Heist 5
The Bureau Raid
Breaking into FIB headquarters to steal data.
Approaches: Fire Crew (go in as firefighters) or Roof Entry (by helicopter)
Heist 6
The Big Score
The final heist: gold bullion from the Union Depository.
Approaches: Subtle or Obvious

GTAV: Cayo Perico Heist - Elite Challenge ( Submarine Approach )
The mission begins with the character swimming underwater, utilizing scuba gear to infiltrate El Rubio's heavily guarded compound on Cayo Perico. The character approaches a metal drainage pipe entrance and uses a cutting tool to bypass the security grate. Inside the submerged tunnel, the character removes their scuba gear and emerges into a maintenance area of the compound, meeting a teammate. The team proceeds toward the central mansion, using suppressed weapons to silently eliminate patrolling guards who cannot be fooled by disguises. They navigate the outdoor courtyards and terraces, carefully avoiding cones of vision. The team enters the main building to locate and collect necessary security keycards, finding a keycard and a stash of cash inside a safe. After securing both dual keycards from guards and a safe, they head toward the underground vault. Inside the vault, they retrieve the primary target, Bearer Bonds, and attempt to escape, only to find the drainage pipe exit sealed. They quickly switch to securing secondary targets, cutting out two valuable paintings until their loot bags reach maximum capacity. The team escapes the vault and races back through the compound grounds, silently neutralizing the remaining guards. They open the main gate using the dual keycards and run toward the ocean cliffside. Jumping into the turbulent waves, they commandeer a waiting dinghy. El Rubio begins a search from his helicopter, forcing the team to speed away from the island and out into the open ocean to complete the heist. GTAV : Cayo Perico Heist - Elite Challenge ( Longfin Approach )
The Cayo Perico heist begins with an amphibious landing at the North Dock. The character moves stealthily, avoiding guard vision cones to find an island guard disguise near a fishing pier. After changing clothes, the character re-enters the Longfin boat and navigates to the island's airfield. Upon arrival, the character scouts for equipment, securing a grappling hook and locating a supply truck. Secondary looting takes place in a large hangar, where a cutting torch is used to access stashed drugs. The character then drives the supply truck across the island, passing through checkpoints by using the disguise. At a secondary warehouse, more loot is gathered until the bag is full. The character then drives to the compound's perimeter and uses the grappling hook to scale the wall. Once inside, guards are eliminated silently to obtain gate keys. The character enters El Rubio’s office to loot a hidden wall safe before heading to the underground vault. A fingerprint hack grants access to the elevator, leading down to the vault where the Bearer Bonds are stored in a safe.
